The Custom IPC Designer works inside ChatGPT and Claude. Connect it once, then describe the cluster you want: your assistant asks about your Mustang and the look you're after, builds the design with our Designer engine, shows you previews of the whole cluster as it goes, and saves the finished design to your Custom IPC account.

Claude
Custom IPC is in Claude's connector directory.
- Open Custom IPC in Claude's directory (or search Claude's directory for “Custom IPC”) and tap Connect to Claude.
- Start a chat: “Use Custom IPC to design a custom cluster for my Mustang.” Once connected, it works in the Claude phone and desktop apps too.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer mode (needs a paid plan).
- Choose Create, name it Custom IPC, paste the address above, and choose no authentication.
- In a new chat, add Custom IPC from the + menu and say: “Design a custom cluster for my Mustang.”

What it does
- Asks first: which Mustang, its current cluster, automatic or manual, the speedometer (160, 180, 200 or 220 mph), the tachometer (stock or GT350-style 9,000 rpm) and the start-up (the 3D car or your own GIF / video). Then the look you want: style, colours, the view you use most, the font, and whether to start from a Custom IPC gallery look.
- Changes colours, text labels and the font (the dial numbers and gear letters follow it), and puts new art into the cluster: drawings your assistant makes, pictures from a link, or files you upload through a private one-hour link.
- Shows previews of the whole cluster in Normal, Sport and Track, at any speed, rpm or gear, and the start-up.
- Saves the design: you get a link that opens it in the Custom IPC Designer and keeps it in your account (sign in or create one). The link works once, for 7 days.
What it doesn't do
- It never gives out firmware files or the cluster's original artwork; previews are pictures of the whole cluster only.
- It doesn't take orders or payments. Installs are booked on customipc.com.
- GT350 clusters are designed by Custom IPC with you; the connector explains how.
Privacy and support
The connector receives only what your assistant sends to its tools while you design, never your chat history. Designs in progress live only for your conversation (up to 2 hours if paused), uploads for 1 hour, and saved designs you don't open are deleted after 30 days. Details: privacy policy and terms.
