These terms apply when you use customipc.com, order from Custom IPC (“we”), or use the Custom IPC Designer for ChatGPT and Claude. By ordering or using them you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. We are not affiliated with Ford Motor Company; Ford, Mustang and related names are trademarks of their owners.
What we offer
We design custom firmware for the 12-inch digital instrument cluster of 2015 and newer Ford Mustangs and install it remotely over a video call, or by our mail-in service. You must own the vehicle (or have the owner's permission) and be 18 or older to order.
Installs
- Remote install: you need a battery charger of over 20 A on the car, a Windows laptop with AnyDesk and a wired FORScan cable. You can move your time up to 6 hours before it. If we can't reach you within 30 minutes of the start, the appointment closes and your card hold is released.
- Mail-in: you ship the cluster to us, packed well, after we confirm. We send you a video of it running; you pay within 7 days of the video and we ship it back overnight, free.
- Every order is confirmed by us. If we can't do it, we tell you and nothing is charged.
Payment, cancellations and refunds
- Remote install: booking places a hold on your card for the total. We charge it at your install, after we check everything works. If the install can't go ahead, is cancelled, or fails, the hold is released or the payment refunded in full.
- Mail-in: nothing is charged when you order; you save a backup card. If you don't pay within 7 days of the video, we may charge the backup card, and we tell you first.
- Prices are shown before you order. Sales tax is added where required.
The firmware
- Firmware is built for one vehicle, identified by its VIN. You may not copy, share, resell or reverse-engineer it. We delete the file after the install and never give out firmware files.
- Changing a vehicle's software may affect its warranty or how a dealer treats it. You choose to modify your car; we take care to keep the gauges reading correctly.
Your designs and uploads
- You keep the rights to pictures, logos and other material you add. You give us permission to use them to make, preview and install your design.
- Only add material you have the right to use. Don't add other companies' logos or trademarks unless you own them or have permission, or anything unlawful or offensive. We may decline a design.
- Designs marked confidential are never shown in our gallery; others appear there only with your OK.
The Designer for ChatGPT and Claude
- It is a free design tool. Previews show how a design should look; the finished cluster can differ slightly.
- It gives no access to firmware or to the cluster's original artwork, and you agree not to try to extract them.
- Use is limited per conversation to keep the service fair for everyone, and we may suspend access that is abusive.
- Your use of ChatGPT or Claude is also subject to OpenAI's or Anthropic's terms.
Limits of our responsibility
We provide our services with care, but as they are, without other warranties, to the extent the law allows. Our total responsibility for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms and will show the date at the top; orders follow the terms in force when you placed them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, USA. Questions: support@customipc.com.
